The Partec Partec PAS flow cytometers are for clinical and scientific applications.
They combine newest computer technology with Partec's well known high resolution
in lamp and laser based flow cytometry.
The PAS analyses
up to eight optical parameters (2 x light scatter, 4-6 x fluorescence).
It can be equipped with 3 light sources. As standard 20mW argon ion
laser with emission at 488 nm is installed in all instruments with
a wide selection of optional sources available.
Light sources might be operated alone or simultaneously for dual
beam excitation.
The PAS can be operated with the Partec sample preparation station and automated sample injection system ROBBY.
The ROBBY automatically prepares, stains and analyses up to 36 samples automatically and is also available with
a sample autoloading function for 36 samples.
A closed piezo
based sorting device available as an add-on to the PAS/PAS III/CyFlow
space as an optimized module for simplified and precise non-destructive
sorting of cells.
Partec Ploidy Analyser PA-I/PA-II
The Partec Ploidy Analyser is available in two versions.
The PA-I is a one-parameter flow cytometer based on a mercury arc
lamp as excitation light source for UV light. With this instrument
high resolution DNA analysis for the detection of ploidy and minor variations of
the genome size (like aneuploidy) can be carried out.
The PA-II in contrast is a two-parameter flow cytometer with two different light sources.
Next to the analysing capacities of the PA-I this instrument may also analyse absolute nuclear DNA amount
genome size) on the basis of DNA specific fluorescence staining with the dye propidium iodide. Therefore the PA-II combines high
resolution analysis of relative and absolute genome size in one single system.
High resolution measurements are obtained for a broad range of
plant and animal species. Samples can be taken from nearly all tissues, plant callus or from cell suspensions
or fungal spores. Sample preparation is easy and convenient using the Partec High Resolution staining
kits.
